Joe Maddon had all kinds of harsh words for Davey Johnson and the Nationals after the Joel Peralta glove/pine tar incident last night, and today Johnson fired back at the Rays manager.
When asked about Maddon?s contention that many pitchers have pine tar on their gloves, Johnson replied: ?My only comment to them is just read the rule book.?
And then when asked what he thought of Maddon and his comments that the Nationals were ?cowardly? and pulled ?a chickens*** move? by calling the umpires? attention to Peralta?s glove, Johnson told Mark Zuckerman of CSNWashington.com: ?I don?t know him that well, but I thought he was a weird wuss anyways.?
